About the Zagreb – Plitvice route
The road leaves Zagreb on the A1 motorway to Karlovac and continues on the old state road D1 through the green hills of Kordun and Lika. It is a scenic, unhurried drive with villages, rivers and forests – and the perfect place to break the journey is Rastoke near Slunj, the village of old water mills.
Plitvice has two park entrances and many guesthouses spread over several villages – Mukinje, Jezerce, Rastovača, Korenica. We drive you to the exact address, so you never have to look for a bus stop with suitcases. Many guests spend one night at the lakes to walk the park early in the morning before the day visitors arrive, and then continue to the coast with us.
Worth a stop on the way
- Karlovac – coffee by the river and the Aquatika freshwater aquarium
- Rastoke and Slunj – water mills and waterfalls, a 30–45 minute walk
- Barać Caves near Rakovica – a guided cave tour of about 45 minutes
- Continue the same day to Zadar (1 h 45 min) or Split (3 h)
Write the stops you would like in the booking form – we plan the route and confirm the final price.
