About the Split – Dubrovnik route

Since the Pelješac Bridge opened in 2022, the route stays entirely in Croatia: the A1 motorway to Ploče, the bridge across the bay to the Pelješac peninsula and the coast road past Ston to Dubrovnik. There is no passport control and no waiting at the border, which used to add time in summer.

If you prefer the classic coastal road through Neum (Bosnia and Herzegovina), we can drive that way too – just bring your passports. Either way, the last kilometres into Dubrovnik give you the famous view of the old town and its walls.

Worth a stop on the way

  • Omiš and the Makarska Riviera – along the coast road
  • Neretva valley – mandarin orchards and river delta
  • Ston – Europe’s longest defensive walls and fresh oysters in Mali Ston
  • Pelješac wineries – Dingač and Postup red wines

Write the stops you would like in the booking form – we plan the route and confirm the final price.

What’s included

  • Door-to-door pick-up at your hotel, apartment, airport or any address
  • Professional, English-speaking driver
  • Fuel, motorway tolls and parking
  • Free waiting time and flight monitoring for airport pick-ups
  • Bottled water, phone chargers and child seats on request
  • Fixed price per vehicle – not per person

Split to Dubrovnik transfer: FAQ

How long is the transfer from Split to Dubrovnik?

About three hours and 230 km via the Pelješac Bridge, without stops.

Do we cross the border on the way?

Not on our standard route over the Pelješac Bridge. Only the old coast road through Neum crosses into Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Can you pick us up at Split Airport?

Yes, we meet you in the arrivals hall at Split Airport (SPU) and drive you directly to Dubrovnik.

Can we stop in Ston for lunch?

Yes. Ston is right on the route; stop for the walls and oysters and continue to Dubrovnik in the afternoon.

Is it better to take the ferry or a transfer?

The catamaran is scenic but runs to a timetable and has limited luggage space. A private transfer leaves when you want, from your door, with room for all your bags.
